Winter/Interim Break Closure: Dec 18 - Jan 2

All UW Libraries buildings, including the Engineering Library, will be closed during the winter break period of Saturday, December 18, 2021 - Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Libraries users will continue to have 24/7 access to many online resources, including our Ask Us Service, our research databases, e-books, and other specialized online collections.

After the Libraries re-opens buildings in January, print books and other requested libraries materials will be processed and made available.

Autumn Quarter Update - Engineering Library Opens September 29

The Engineering Library will re-open on Wednesday, September 29. Remote resources and services continue to be available. Engineering Library hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm. (See the Libraries hours page for other UW Seattle, UW Bothell, and UW Tacoma libraries.)

Masks required, no eating allowed.

September 2021 Update - Engineering Library Currently CLOSED (Summer/Autumn Break)

Engineering Library / UW Libraries Collections - Circulation Changes:
  • No Contact Pick-Up Service ends Friday, September 17. Anyone with a Husky Card or UW borrowers card can request and pick up items at each campus. Pick-up service for UW Seattle will resume inside Suzzallo Library on Wednesday, September 22.
  • Returning items, Renewing Books Online, Fines:  See the UW Libraries COVID-19 Updates page.
  • Interlibrary Loan & Scanning Services is filling requests for physical materials, in addition to articles and book chapters. Summit borrowing is available.
  • Access to e-resources: UW Libraries provides a wide range of e-resources including temporary access to over 1 million additional electronic books and resources through our HathiTrust partnership. (HathiTrust Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS) will end on September 20.)

Engineering Library Building CLOSED - Remote Resources and Services for Winter Quarter 2021

The Engineering Library building is CLOSED. All UW Libraries - Seattle, Bothell, and Tacoma - are closed until further notice. Libraries buildings are currently closed to the public during Phase 2.
